리그레쉬가 최근 공개한 곡들은 팝 음악에 가까운 사운드를 가지고 있습니다. 이번 곡 Monday도 똑같아요첫 앨범 feel your feelings fool에서 느꼈던 펑크 사운드들은 요즘 앨범에서는 너무 탁해진 것 같아 아쉬운 것 같아요. 개인적으로 그 앨범을 많이 좋아했기 때문에 더욱 아쉽네요.. (불좀 더 뺏겼어..) 하지만 여전히 꾸준히 좋은 노래를 허락하고 또 행복합니다~
이번에 나온 Monday는 리디아가 코로나19에 의해 자가격리로 집에 머무는 동안 느낀 감정에 대해 쓴 곡이라고 합니다. 게다가 가장 힘들었던 시기에 이 곡을 썼다고 칩니다.Existential crisis도 Monday도 모두 자신의 어려운 상황을 나타낸 단어였습니다.사실 리디아는 12살 때부터 음악 활동을 했고 투어를 돌았기 때문에 갑자기 다가온 사람 격리로 혼자 있는 시간이 길어졌고 사람들/관객과 소통하는 시간이 너무 줄어들어 많은 것에 혼란을 느꼈다고 하는데, 이 곡을 쓰는 과정이 그 혼란을 극복하는 데 큰 도움이 됐다고 하네요.(리디아가 어릴 때 활동했던 밴드는 Prety Little Demon) 라고 하는데, 이 곡을 쓰는 과정이 그 혼란을 극복하는 데 큰 도움이 됐다고 해요.
